Background Info

The McLean County CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Hunger Walk are a group of individuals raising money and raising awareness about hunger and extreme poverty in their community and around the world. Last year the McLean CROP Hunger Walk raised close to $10,000.00 with a little over 100 walkers and 7 churches and organizations. This year our goal is to have 125 walkers and to raise $10,000 with 25% of the money raised staying in Bloomington - Normal. The rest of the funds will be donated to Church World Service in their efforts in educating countries around the world about agricultural techniques, help make drinking water safe and safely preparing food. CWS also assists in disaster relief in our own communities and all over the world.

The money raised for Bloomington - Normal and Mclean County will be divided up between the Claire House and Salvation Army Safe Harbor food pantries.

Come out and support local food pantries and help be a Community that Responds to Overcome Poverty and hunger!
